Study

EFS Film School · Study
To study at EFS Film School is to enter a practice, not a programme.
Cinema here is learned as it is made: slowly, inwardly, by attention. The teaching takes several forms, each suited to a different rhythm of life, practice, and commitment. Each is a different distance to the same fire — choose the one your life allows; the work itself does not change.
Self-Paced Courses
Live Online Courses
Onsite Masterclasses
Mentoring
These four paths are not separate products but a single practice approached at different speeds and in different company — alone or together, in your own time or in real time, at a distance or in the same room. What changes is the rhythm and the company; the cinema does not. Each path is a way of cultivating a personal, poetic, and experimental cinema, and of learning to make the films that only you can make.
The Companion Films
Three films accompany every course at EFS Film School — Phantom Islands, Trailers, and Homo Sapiens Project (200). They are given to each student on enrolment: personal download links, yours to keep, watched in your own time. They are not illustrations of the teaching; they are its evidence. The ideas met in these courses were first worked out inside these films, and lead back to them.
If you are uncertain which path is yours, write to us, and we will help you find the way in that suits your life and your work.
