For Institutions

EFS Film School works with universities, art schools, festivals, and cultural organisations that wish to bring its teaching into their own programmes. Nothing here is taken from a shelf: each workshop, lecture, and course is designed for the institution that asks for it — its students, its rooms, its time.

What Can Be Commissioned

I — WORKSHOPS & MASTERCLASSES
From a single day to several weeks, on-site or online. Practical and intensive, built around the students in the room and the means at hand.
II — LECTURES & SCREENING-TALKS
Single events for festivals, cinematheques, and departments: a lecture, or a screening followed by conversation.
III — SUSTAINED PROGRAMMES
Courses designed with the institution and taught over months. Between 2021 and 2024, a continuing series of courses and masterclasses was designed and taught at the Berlin Art Institute.

The Record

All teaching is conducted by Rouzbeh Rashidi — filmmaker, founder of the Experimental Film Society (2000) and of EFS Film School (2019) — who has taught since 2019 as a freelance educator in continuing collaboration with institutions, including:

Universität der Künste Berlin · Berlin Art Institute (2021–2024) · Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach · filmArche, Berlin · Alma Manusutbildning, Sweden · Tirana International Film Festival · Department of Film and Media Studies, University College Cork · Kino Armata, Pristina · Tehran International Short Film Festival · Baltic Analog Lab, Riga · UNATC I. L. Caragiale, Bucharest · Lichtenberg Studios, Berlin

To Begin

Write to info@efsfilmschool.com. Describe the students, the time available, and what the institution hopes will happen; the format will be designed from that.
